Torpedoed: 28 July 1940 by German Submarine  U-99 when west of Cape Clear, Eire.
 
She was on a voyage from Townsville, Australia to Liverpool with 10,700 tons of general cargo, including lead, steel, hides, wheat and refrigerated products. Her crew of 74 was saved.
