Completed in 1940 at Belfast by Harland and Wolff as Araybank for Bank Line.
 
Bombed at Greece in 1941, salvaged in 1947. Purchased by shipowner Achille Lauro in 1947 and rebuilt as passenger and cargo vessel for the emigrant trade between the Mediterranean and Australian ports.
 
Moved to Central and South America route in 1951. Again converted into a freighter in 1960 and scrapped at Spezia in 1971.
