[QUEEN MAUD Joe McMillan Collection]

Launched for the MOWT as Empire Torrent on 29 October 1942. She was managed for the MOWT by Counties Ship Management and then they purchased her from the MOWT in 1948. She was renamed Argos Hill and then became Queen Maud  in 1951 when purchased by Queen Line Ltd (Cadogan SS Co. Ltd. and Lomond Sg. Co. Ltd.). She traded as such until 1954 when she was sold to Nueva Valencia Cia Nav, Panama and renamed Scotia.

In 1959 she was renamed Skotia by the same owners but sailed under the Greek flag until broken up at Kaohsiung beginning 29 July 1962.
