 Empire Outpost

Launched for the MOWT on 31 May 1943. She was completed exactly two months later and allocated to Sir R. Ropner and Co., West Hartlepool as her wartime manager and then transferred to the French Government in 1945 with Cie. Chargeurs Reunis acting as manager. She was renamed Pilote Garnier.

In 1949 they acquired her from the government and traded her for about ten years before she was sold to Cia. Nav. Olisman, Panama where she was renamed Kyra Hariklia.

On 7 February 1966 she ran aground at Malmo but was re-floated four days later and towed into port so that her cargo could be discharged. She then sailed to Hamburg and entered dry-dock where her bottom and stern were found to be so extensively damaged that repair was deemed to be uneconomical.

She was broken up in Hamburg by Eisen U, Metall beginning 4 April 1966.
