 HMCS Bonaventure

Laid down  21 Nov 1943 as HMS Powerful, work was suspended following the end of World War II, and only resumed when it was bought by the Royal Canadian Navy in 1952, which was looking to replace the World War II–era light carrier HMCS Magnificent
 
Completed to the modernized design. Commissioned in Canadian service as HMCS Bonaventure (RML 22) 17 January 1957.
 
Designation changed to RRSM 22 in 1957, later to CVL 22.
 
Operated as an ASW carrier after September 1962.
 
Major mid-life refit March 1966 to 1 September 1967.
 
Flight operations ended December 1969; decommissioned 1 July 1970.
 
Sold and scrapped in Taiwan starting March 1971.
