Pennant No. F77

Launched 14th February 1957 at Harland and Wolff, Belfast and commissioned 14th August 1958 HMS Blackpool was loaned to the New Zealand Navy where she served as HMNZS Blackpool from 1966 to 1971 where she is still fondly remembered.

On her return to the UK she was placed in reserve and then re-activated as a target ship. Her 4.5" turret was removed and replaced with an equipment mast. She acted as both a target and monitored underwater explosive tests from Rosyth.

She was sold September 1977 and scrapped at J A White, St David on Forth, in May 1978.
