Sister ship to the Port Sydney (built by Swan Hunter & Wigan Richardson) she gave Port Line 17 years service, running between U.K. - continent  and Australian and New Zealand ports.
 
In 1972 she was sold to the J.C. Carras group of Piraeus. She was renamed Therisos Express, put into the Greek shipbuilders Chalkis for conversion into a cruise ship. The work give her a completely new profile.
 
Registered under the Greek flag in the ownership of Delian Athina Cruises S.A. the ship was renamed Danae.  
 
Renamed in 1992 to Anar for a brief period and in the same year became the Starlight Princess owned by the Capricorn Maritime Inc. registered under the flag of St. Vincent & Grenadines.
 
Another name change to Baltica occurred in 1994 when she passed to Flax International Ltd.
 
In 1996 she was renamed Princess Danae, owned by the Arcalia Shipping company under the  Panamanian flag.
 
In the late summer of 2013, the ship was arrested in Dublin, Ireland for non-payment of a fuel bill.
 
Early in 2013, she was bought by the recently created Portuguese cruise company Portuscale Cruises and renamed Lisboa
