	Pennant No. F 109 *Leander* was the sixth ship to bear the name, she was laid down at Harland and Wolff, Belfast on 10th April 1959 originally as *HMS Weymouth* but converted to LEANDER configuration during build. Her initial service was in the West Indies and later East of Suez.
