The sixth ship of the Royal Navy to bear the name, HMS Bramble. A 6-gun, screw gunboat and commissioned at Plymouth in 1887. She saw service in Africa, also off the South East coast of America and in Europe on the river Danube.
 
Later in her career Bramble was renamed HMS Cockatrice and was finally sold at Chatham in 1906 for £3800.
