In 1888 she was renamed Lord Charlemont.
 
At the time of her loss she was owned by Sun Shipping Co. Ltd. and managed by Mitchell Cotts & Co. She was sunk on 19 April 1918 by torpedo fired by German submarine U-34 approximately 22 nautical miles North of Alboran Island, Morocco. She was en route from La Spezia to Gibraltar in ballast.
