One funnel, four masts, twin screw, speed 13 knots with limited passenger accommodation she was built as a livestock carrier for the White Star Line, she was the sister of the Naronic.  Her maiden voyage started on 26th August 1892 when she left Liverpool for New York. She started Manchester - New York sailings in early 1914 (her masts were shortened to funnel height to pass under the Manchester Ship Canal bridges).
 
Requisitioned for Government service in 1917-1919 and in 1922 she was transferred to the Leyland Line and renamed Colonian.
 
Scrapped at Rotterdam in 1928.
