The vessel was under construction at A & J Inglis of Pointhouse when the yard was taken over by Harland & Wolff in 1919, A & J Inglis ship number was retained.
 
Launched as Standard H type - War Raisin. for The Shipping Controller.
 
1922 Sold to Pacific Steam Navigation Company Ltd., Liverpool with her sisters Arana and Almagro as they were too big for the Spanish trade.
