Built by A McMillan & Son, Dumbarton, she was launched on Wednesday 26 November 1924 for R. S. Dalgleish Ltd., Newcastle. Her Burmeister & Wain diesel engine was assembled and fitted by Harland & Wolff, Glasgow. It provided propulsion via a single screw at 10.5 knots service speed.
 
She was sold in 1947 to Valdemar Skogland, Haugesund and renamed Carrier.
 
She was again sold in 1966 and went to the breakers on 23rd February 1967 at Villanueva y Geltru.
