[DEVIS 1944]
The Oakland Star was one of the "D"-boats built for Lamport & Holt Line. They were revolutionary in design for the time, with the funnel being incorporated in the superstructure and housed a small part of the accommodation.
 
Launched  as Devis  for Lamport & Holt Line Ltd., Liverpool.
 
Transferred in1954 to Blue Star Line  and renamed Oakland Star for the North Pacific coast of North America route.
 
Sold in 1962 to Cantieri Navali de Golfo, Italy and arrived la Spezia for breaking, demolition commenced December1962.
