Sister of the Calchas she was built for the Ocean Steam Ship Company.
 
In 1975 she was transferred to Elder Dempster Lines without a change of name and two years later was sold to Gulf (Shipowners) Ltd of London being renamed Gulf Orient.
 
On 9th May 1978 she arrived at Gadani Beach, Pakistan for demolition after being sold to Al Noor Steel Ltd.
