She participated in the Suez Crises the same year and in 1958 was stationed at Tobruk following the assassination of the Iraq royal family.
 
During 1967-1973 she served as a Navigation Training ship and in 1974 was refitted as the CAAIS (Computer Assisted Action Information System) Trials Ship.
 
Paid of on March 31st 1985 she was the longest serving Type 12 ship, including Rothesay and Leander Classes.
 
She was scrapped in July 1987 in Barcelona.
