She was built for the Panamanian subsidiary of Texaco - Texaco Panama Inc.
 
She retained her original name throughout her lifetime and went for early scrap, arriving at Tung Ho Steel Enterprise Corp., Kaohsiung , Taiwan on 6th December 1978 when only 13 years old.
 
Her early demise was due to her thirsty steam turbine propulsion and "small " size in the heyday of VLCC's.
