A Bramble-class screw gunboat of the Royal Navy, she commenced service on the Australia Station in January 1888. Serving in New Zealand waters until she was detached to serve on the China Station during the Boxer Rebellion. She was the first warship to enter Kiama, New South Wales.

 

She was laid up at Sydney in 1904.

 

She was sold in February 1905 for £800 and was broken up at Balmain, Sydney.
