Renamed  Deudraeth Castle 1898.
 
On the 8th April 1905 she left Shields (UK) for Carrizal (Chile) carrying coal.
 
She was abandoned near Cape Horn on the 26th October 1905 after damage due to storm. The crew was rescued by the british bark Pass of Killiecrankie.
 
One month later she was observed adrift by the German bark of the Falklands.
