Built for the African Steamship Line in 1890 she was immediately chartered to Brocklebank Line, 1892 chartered to Dominion Line and renamed Memnon, 1893 chartered to Atlantic Transport Line.
 
In 1917 she was torpedoed and sunk in English Channel, with the lost of six lives.
