One funnel, two masts, twin screw and a speed of 14 knots. There was passenger accommodation for 200-1st, 150-2nd and 2,000-3rd class.
 
She sailed from Rotterdam on her maiden voyage to Boulogne and New York on 18th August 1897. She started her last voyage on this service on 17th February 1906 and then went to the Scandinavian American Line and was renamed C.F. Tietgen.
 
She then went to the Russian American Line, was renamed Dwinsk and commenced sailings between Libau and New York on 10th February 1914. Her last voyage on this service started 28th July 1914 and she transferred to Archangel - Hammerfest - New York sailings on 20th September 1914.
 
In 1917 she was put under Cunard management and sailed under the British flag until 18th June 1918 when she was torpedoed and sunk by the German submarine U.151, 400 miles from Bermuda.
