Brought into service in April 1931 on the lines of the Northern Pacific. From 1934, is used on the Southern Pacific.
 
On June 12, 1940,  part of the last convoy to leave Le Havre. Takes refuge in Marseilles.
 
On December 21, 1942, is seized by the Germans.
 
On August 21, 1944, seized by Germany.
 
In 1946 she is returned to the French Governement
 
In 1953 is sold to the Far Eastern & Panama Transport Co., Panama renamed Uranus.
 
1952-1955 chartered by Horn Linie, 1955 renamed Anto, 1957 renamed Eastwind.
 
1960 scrapped.
