 Aglaia

The loss of the Aglaia (1889) was due to carelessness on the part of the master in not setting a proper course after passing Lobos Island. He also is to blame for not taking soundings himself, and ascertaining the nature of the bottom. Also for trusting too much to the pilot, and leaving the deck when the safety of the ship required his personal supervision.
