In 1896 it was purchased by the owner camogliese Prospero Schiaffino that put her on the routes of Chile and California (nitrates and wheat for Europe).
 
In 1915 it was ceded to the Shipowner Esposito of Castellammare.
 
On 26th August, 1916, as Stella Maris while returning from a trip to South America, was sunk by a German submarine U-38 in front of the Island Dragonara.
