In January 1949 she was the first Glen ship to be transferred to Blue Funnel Line and renamed Dardanus.
 
She was laid up in 1956 at Holy Loch until being delivered to the breakers yard of Thomas W Ward at Inverkeithing on 19th July 1957. .
