(Reference: TY-0750) ![]() In her 37 years In H&W Miss Muriel Frizelle, Supervisor of Ship Design & Drawings Typing Pool, coped with a mountain of typing with quiet efficiency and no matter how busy she was she always managed to help out others by taking on a little extra work as a favour. By so doing, said Mr Robin Cameron, Manager of Ship Design and Drawings-Out fitting, at a presentation of gifts to mark her retirement on 16th April,1976 she not only rendered sterling Service to the firm, but also won the affection and high regard in which she was held by so many. “All these gifts— the tea service, the cassette transistor, the Continental quilt and the numerous personal presents — show how much your colleagues have appreciated your efforts and unfailing courtesy to them.” he told her. Others who spoke in appreciation of Miss Frizelle’s work and character included Mrs Nancy Brennan, Mr Ian McGowan and Mr Bob Tyrie. Accepting the gifts. Miss Frizelle in turn thanked the girls of the typing pool with whom she had worked over years. "No matter how busy they were, they never complained or moaned," she said. "I may have steered the vessel, but the girls propelled her!" |
