A workshop was setup adjacient to the main generation station with the intention of making prefabricated wood framed houses.
In 1965/66 contract were awarded from the Greater London Council for 359 wood framed houses to be erected in three East Anglian towns. A further 307 houses of the same type were supplied to Andover, Hampshire in 1967. In 1966 twelve bungalows were dispatched to the Bahamas.
