Sergt. T. Bennett, R.A.M.C., 26, married, son of Mr. and Mrs. Bennett, Clare-road, Bootle. Joined the Army in January, 1915, and has been serving on hospital ships as sergeant for the past 12 months. Contracted fever, and died on shipboard last Friday. Was interred at Dover with full military honours on Tuesday. Before joining the Army was a timekeeper at Messrs. Harland and Wolff's. Was well known as a footballer, and kept goal for Orrell.
