Harland and Wolff - Shipbuilding and Engineering Works

While the name of Harland and Wolff is known the world over for the production of high quality ships, it may not be quite so well known in relation the the production of first class electrical equipment.

The electrical products and services where not confined solely to the shipbuilding industry but covered a wide range of industrial applications. It supplied motors, alternators, and control equipment for use in pumping stations, power stations, and local authority standby installations - in fact wherever reliability was a primary consideration.

As a further aid to industries or establishments - particular hospitals - where reliable operations of electrical equipment is a necessity Harland and Wolff provided complete maintenance services. In addition they also operated an extensive repair shop where large items of electrical equipment could be repaired in the shortest possible time.
