Converted to houseboat spotted at Braunston over New Year 2003. 3/4 cabin fitted in 70/80,s Pallas has changed ownership and location, shes now at Sharpness Docks having hydraulic drive fitted and a cabin refit. Photo:Sister Ward on the narrowboat 'Pallas'

No. 7 - Myrina The first supertanker to be built in the UK was the 190,000 dwt Myrina. Because the length of the ship (1,085 feet) could not be accommodated within the length of the largest shipyard slipway, the Myrina was constructed by sliding the after part of the vessel down the slipway, stopping it, and constructing the forward end on the vacated part of the slipway before finally launching.
